Apply for Funding

Join The Good Exchange Community – Apply for Funding

Get your project funded faster

The Good Exchange is an online community that automatically matches eligible applications for charitable funding with funders, donors and fundraisers who want to support your projects.

If you are a UK registered charity or an eligible organisation or group seeking to fund a local project, there are several ways you can access sources of funding through The Good Exchange.

With just a single application:

You can apply for grant funding and The Good Exchange will automatically match you with multiple funders which could potentially back your project.

You could choose to fundraise by attracting donors and fundraisers to support your project.

Or you could do both and get the best of both worlds.

The Good Exchange will also claim Gift Aid on your behalf (rules apply) and funders also have the opportunity to match fund donations to your project helping your reach your fundraising goals more easily.

The Good Exchange will automatically add the 5%+VAT fee to your target amount which will be shown on your project page. We will re-coup on each transaction rather than setting up an escrow account. The fee is applicable only to funds raised. All Funders are made aware of the fee structure when they register on The Good Exchange. Click here for further information on our fees, or read our terms and conditions.

The entire process can be completed in three steps.

  1. Check your eligibility for funding

Answer questions about your funding requirements to make sure funders and donors are able to support your application.

  2. Register your organisation & create your account

Create your organisation profile and apply for funding immediately via our single application form. Answer questions about you and your project and match with the right kind of funders. The information you give can also help you attract donors and fundraisers. Just complete your organisation details once and you can apply for funding for each project so there is no need to keep providing the same information.

  3. Start fundraising

Once you have completed the application your details will be verified (non-registered charities require Proof of ID). Once approved, your project will be matched with eligible funding schemes and you can share your application profile on social media and attract donors and fundraisers. You can update your application as you reach fundraising milestones and add fundraising events to attract more donations.
